I made sure to fully explain every move I'm making in this course, so that you can apply the same approach to whatever you may be using. However the good news is - if you're wanting to directly follow the exact steps you see my taking in this course, I used a lot of very affordable plugins, like Brainworx Megadual, Mercuriall SS-11X, and the free Amp Locker by Audio Assault. If you're using something like Neural DSP, you'll still gain a good understanding of how to apply the same processes to those plugins (as well as my own downloadable Nu Metal presets for multiple Neural DSP plugins), but as you'll see in the course, we can get very authentic Nu Metal tones by using these more basic, budget plugins. For drums, I mainly rely on GGD's Modern and Massive 2 plugin, but I also suggest some free and paid alternatives, and the same approach I take with processing the drums is pretty much applicable to any drum software (or audio) that you may be using.
